Stephenson's Viaduct
The Viaduct was designed by Robert Stephenson and built in 1849/50, replacing a timber trestle bridge of 1847.
It is on the
Newcastle
to
Edinburgh
stretch of the East Coast main line, near to Morpeth.
The Viaduct is a Grade 2 listed building.
